Marc Mallett is the Director of Sponsorship and Ad Sales of ESPN Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore since July 2016, Marc’s main focus is identifying new sales opportunities and clients and developing compelling advertising solutions for both clients and agencies.
In addition Marc manages and leverages ESPN’s distinct content creation capabilities with a recent example being the ongoing TCL Campaign.
Marc joined ESPN in November 2013 and was based in the US as Director of Audience Sales, part of ESPN’s customer Marketing and Sales group where he oversaw programmatic sales efforts across ESPN’s Digital and TV Properties. During Marcs time in this role he managed triple digit growth for ESPN’s programmatic sales. Marc was also a key member of the team that launched ESPN’s s first programmatic television initiative, delivering the industry’s first live programmatic television spot.
Before joining ESPN, Marc served as Vice President at Silver Chalice Ventures where he launched 120 Sports, the ACC Digital Network, the SEASONx premium sports exchange and Campus Insiders digital properties. Prior to Silver Chalice, Marc was with Universal Music Group and played a key role in launching VEVO, the joint venture music video streaming company with Sony Music.
Originally from Seattle, Washington and attended the University of Oregon. Marc now resides in Singapore with his wife and two daughters.
With “programmatic” being a catch-all term that has many interpretations I’m looking forward to seeing creative applications of programmatic advertising from some unexpected areas of the marketing landscape.
