Akash Deep Batra leads a team of seasoned marketers to drive brand marketing, consumer segments, data-driven marketing & communication, paid media & new to bank acquisition, consumer research, and customer experience across consumer banking business and brands.
Previously, Akash was Head of Brand Communication, Corporate Brand and Digital at Nestlé India. He was responsible for brand strategy definition & campaign execution on all platforms including TV & digital for all Nestlé brands including Maggi, Nescafé, Kit Kat and Corporate Brand. Akash joined Nestlé India in 2012 as Head of Digital Marketing and eCommerce and was responsible for setting up the first-ever digital acceleration team (DAT) at Nestlé worldwide including a state-of-the-art DAT Center (Social Media Command Center) in the Nestlé India head office. During his stint at Nestlé, he also led Digital and eCommerce for the Asia Pacific region.
Before Nestlé, Akash worked at Infosys for over 9 years in various roles in business consulting, product management, and technology management functions in the Retail, CPG, and Logistics business unit. Akash is a recipient of the Infosys Award of Excellence in Innovation for 4 years in a row.
Recognized as one of the Top 50 Marketers in 2021 by the BusinessWorld Magazine, Akash is a frequent speaker at various industry conferences and universities across the world and a commentator on trends & innovations in marketing & technology.
Akash is an engineer from Kurukshetra University and a management graduate from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB).
He loves playing basketball and lives in Gurgaon with his wife and 2 kids.
