Anupam covers the spectrum from Demand Generation to Content Strategy and from Community Management to Event Amplification in his role as the Digital, Social & Experiential lead for all of Microsoft’s products and services in Asia Pacific. With a deep-rooted passion for customer centricity and innovation, the role uniquely places him at the intersection of best representing Microsoft to future customers whilst also being the custodian of existing users and their interaction experience.
Most recently, Anupam was leading Brand Engagement, Advocacy and Evangelism for Twitter in APAC managing their relationship with Tech & B2B brands across the region and was responsible for building the category into a multi-million $ business from the ground up. Prior to that, he was managing Twitter's relationship and JBPs in emerging markets with their top global brand partners across APAC and MENA after joining Twitter in 2014 in India as their first brand partnership manager in the region.
Before joining Twitter, he was heading Digital Marketing & Ecommerce at MTS, India’s leading CDMA telecom operator, where he was responsible for building up the MTS digital presence from scratch and transforming it into one of the top 10 digital brands in India, apart from being the father of the MTS Internet Baby campaign – which was until recently the most viewed brand commercial on YouTube. He was also responsible for setting up the ecommerce channel for MTS and growing it into a major business line for the company.
Prior to MTS, he launched Blyk – a youth mobile messaging media platform – in India in partnership with one of the largest telecom operators in India, Aircel (a subsidiary of Maxis); besides starting his first entrepreneurial venture EveryMedia – now India’s largest movie marketing company.
In 2012, The Economic Times recognized Anupam as 1 of 28 Young Emerging Business Leaders in India as part of its ETYL initiative. He has also received numerous other industry awards & accolades for his work over the years, most notably for the digital programs he initiated. In 2016, The Economic Times also featured him in its master brand campaign as the modern face of the marketing fraternity in India.
A digital native, Anupam is passionate about the medium and has been a prominent evangelist at industry forums and platforms across the region, besides being a regular speaker at various business schools in Asia.
