Liru is Head of Marketing for Singapore. As Head of Marketing, she is responsible for the growth of Visa’s brand health in Singapore and helping Visa’s clients propel their business goals through marketing. In addition, Liru is responsible for driving Value Added Services revenue.


Prior to joining Visa, Liru held leadership positions at PayPal in Digital, Consumer and Content Marketing in Asia Pacific and International capacities spanning over 100 markets. She was responsible for portfolio metrics for International markets in PayPal to achieve KPIs across the customer lifecycle from acquisition to engagement. She also built scalable content, Paid media, SEO and social capabilities to deliver on performance marketing driven goals.


Before she took the leap inhouse, she was a business leader in the agency world; building and managing top revenue earning teams at Edelman, Batey and Burson-Marstellar.


Liru is a customer centric marketer - experienced in creating value from audience, product and market fit across International markets with deep expertise in consumer tech, Fintech and Internet. Passionate about delivering marketing strategies and storytelling that move hearts and minds, she has shaped powerful and compelling stories for some of the world’s best brands of Fortune 500 companies. Liru and her teams have won several multiple awards including the SABRE Platinum as well as Spikes Asia Award.


Liru spent three years of her professional career in Shanghai and holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Singapore Management University.
