Melanie is currently Chief Partnerships Officer at Wunderman Thompson. Mel has spent over 17 years working as a communications strategist in Melbourne, New York and Perth helping some of the world’s biggest brands clarify their value proposition and effectively identify and communicate with their marketplace.
Her personal expertise is in brand planning, designing research methodologies, human insight and shaping organisational culture to reflect purpose. She believes that research should fit within a customer’s experience of your brand and build equity, rather than sit behind glass.
Melanie’s work has been recognised in local ad regional awards, including the APG Award for Best approach to Research, National and Asia Pacific Effies, a FAB Award and AMI Pinnacle Award. Through her work in Perth, Melbourne and New York, Melanie has worked on RAC, HBF, Synergy, Ford, Yoplait and Quit Victoria.
Mel has three kids, loves to run and is passionate about women’s inclusion in sport. She has spoken at local and international marketing conferences including Mumbrella 360, ADMA and the International Youth Mental Health Conference. She is a regular contributor to media discussions.
